"Hola, we are Amber and Jason, your hosts at Casa Maroma. We left our hectic lives in the UK to live a slower way of life in the rural village of  Competa, Malaga.

Reflecting on our busy lives made us realise that we were missing an essential part of ourselves. We were searching for simplicity, the outdoors, to be surrounded by nature and to find the time to do things that make us feel alive...creating, hiking and swimming in the sea.

Our short winter evenings are spent cosying up in front of the wood burning fireplace, with candles burning and a glass of local red wine; while long summers mean days spent outside, long walks through the national parks, exploring the vineyards, while passing the olive trees and almond groves. Afternoon trips to the coast for a dip in the sea, then evenings spent on our roof terrace, absorbing the natural beauty surrounding us, while watching the sun disappear into the Mediterranean sea.
